Gulf Asia Contracting has won a AED450 million ($122m) contract for a mid-rise residential building in Dubai, Gulf News reports.

The 19-storey building in the Al Barsha district is scheduled for completion in March 2018, and will have a built up area of 1.5 million square feet, it was reported.

“Gulf Asia’s focus will remain on optimising resource use, maximising productivity and bringing truly world-class project development skills to the region,” Gulf Asia’s project manager, Sreekanth Ramachandran, was reported as saying.

Gulf Asia’s portfolio includes projects such as City Towers, a nine-tower cluster in Ajman and the Ajman Corniche Residences.

Dubai projects awarded to the civil and general contracting company include a five-star luxury hotel in Dubai Marina to be operated by Crowne Plaza, a four-star hotel in Bur Dubai and a four-star hotel apartment building in Tecom.

Geepas is the flagship brand of Western International Group.
