MAN Truck & Bus Middle East has appointed Franz Freiherr von Redwitz as its new managing director.

Von Redwitz has been with the MAN Group for the past 16 years, handling International Bus and Coach sales management roles. He has also worked in the Middle East and in UAE in the past, helping deliver 400 buses to Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority in 2008.

Moreover, von Redwitz has also worked in sales in South Africa for several years, while his last position was in MAN’s headquarters in Munich as head of product marketing, Bus and Coach. In this role, he oversaw the development of the MAN Lion’s City GL CNG bus, awarded Bus of the Year 2015.

“I am very excited to be joining the Middle East operation which has seen steady growth over the years to emerge as one of the key regions within the MAN group,” von Redwitz said.

“My goal is to reinforce our focus on customer orientation, after-sales services, and technology development to maintain our leadership in the Middle East commercial vehicles market. I look forward to working with our valued distributors and our partners to build on MAN’s success.”
